The challenge

Foodtastic was growing fast, and every new franchise added to the flood of data its analytics platform had to absorb. That platform mattered: it fed the business its read on sales trends, customer behaviour, and operational efficiency. But the infrastructure underneath was not keeping pace, and at peak times it showed, in performance bottlenecks and outright downtime exactly when the insight was needed most.

The way changes shipped made it worse. Deployments were manual, which made them slow and error-prone and left system performance inconsistent from one release to the next. As the digital side of the business expanded, keeping the platform highly available and watched in real time was becoming a job in its own right. Foodtastic needed a managed-services partner with real DevOps depth to automate the busywork, steady the performance, and keep eyes on the platform at all times.

Our approach

As Foodtastic added franchises, its analytics platform had to keep up with a fast-growing flow of sales and operational data while the team shipped new features without breaking things. BITSUMMIT took the platform on as a managed DevOps service, automating the release pipeline and the infrastructure underneath it so reliability no longer depended on manual effort.

Foodtastic managed DevOps loop: a continuous build, test, deploy, monitor, and auto-scale cycle on Jenkins, Azure DevOps, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus and Grafana, keeping the analytics platform at 99.9% uptime, designed by BITSUMMIT

Automate the release pipeline

BITSUMMIT built automated CI/CD pipelines on Jenkins and Azure DevOps, turning the build, test, and deploy of new analytics features into a repeatable, hands-off process. Taking the manual steps out of releases removed the errors they caused and let Foodtastic ship more often with confidence.

Right-size the cloud to demand

Using AWS CloudWatch and Azure Monitor, BITSUMMIT tracked how the platform actually performed and where it wasted capacity, then implemented auto-scaling that adds resources at peak hours and releases them off-peak, holding performance up while keeping spend in check.

See and resolve issues before they bite

Prometheus and Grafana give a real-time view of infrastructure and application health, and a 24/7 incident-management process means problems are detected and resolved quickly, before they reach the business during trading hours.

Keep it healthy and hand over the knowledge

Regular health checks and performance reviews keep the platform tuned as data volumes grow, and knowledge-transfer sessions left Foodtastic's own team equipped to manage and scale it going forward.

The outcome

Automating the build, test, and release process cut deployment time by 40% and took the errors out of releases, so Foodtastic's team can ship new analytics features faster and trust each one to land cleanly.

The platform now holds 99.9% uptime even through peak trading, backed by proactive monitoring, auto-scaling, and a 24/7 response process, and tighter resource allocation made it more responsive for reporting and analysis across every restaurant. Matching capacity to real demand also reduced overall cloud costs by 20%, and the infrastructure scales with the franchise, absorbing heavier data loads as Foodtastic keeps growing.

99.9% uptime on Foodtastic's analytics platform through every peak - automated CI/CD for faster, error-free releases and auto-scaling that trimmed cloud cost.
