The challenge
The BC SPCA protects and cares for animals across British Columbia, operating dozens of locations province-wide. A security maturity review had given the organization a clear, prioritized roadmap, and it engaged BITSUMMIT to deliver it methodically.
The estate brought real-world complexity: shared computers at shelter locations, a varied device fleet, and front-line staff who need technology that simply works while they care for animals.

BITSUMMIT structured the program in phases, each formally activated on customer sign-off so scope and priorities stay with the organization.

Endpoint foundations first
Windows Autopilot provisioning was established so devices arrive ready to work, with Intune compliance and configuration baselines rolling out across the fleet in controlled waves.
Conflicts resolved in the field
Real-world constraints were engineered around as they surfaced, including shared-device scenarios and version baselines tuned to a varied fleet.
Phase gates with real sign-off
Delivery runs against a prioritized register, and Phase 2 was activated in August 2026 through a signed activation approval from the organization's IT leadership.
The outcome
Device provisioning at the BC SPCA is being modernized end to end: Windows Autopilot zero-touch provisioning established, Intune compliance and configuration baselines rolling out in controlled waves, and Phase 2 formally activated in August 2026.
The phase-gate model gives the organization a program it can sustain, with each stage scoped, approved, and accountable before the next begins.
