BITSUMMIT unified Holt Renfrew's fragmented data into an AI-driven analytics platform, accelerating reporting and lifting marketing ROI and e-commerce sales.

Holt Renfrew, Canada's leading luxury retailer, ran its business on data that never came together. Sales lived in one system, customer service in another, and inventory in a third, so no one had a single, current view of how the business was actually performing.
Reporting meant pulling numbers together by hand, which slowed decisions, and inventory forecasts built on incomplete data led to stock imbalances that hurt both margin and the customer experience. To compete in a fast-moving luxury market, Holt Renfrew needed one trusted source of truth and the analytics to act on it.
BITSUMMIT built Holt Renfrew a unified, AI-ready analytics platform on Azure, then put the insights directly in front of the people who make the decisions. The shape of it is a stack: pull every system into one source of truth, then layer reporting, AI, and automated action on top.

One source of truth
Azure Synapse Analytics consolidated CRM, ERP, POS, and e-commerce data into a single warehouse, unifying more than a million customer records and 500,000 product SKUs, and automated ETL pipelines in Azure Data Factory keep it current in near real time rather than as a periodic batch.
Insight people actually use
On top of that warehouse, Power BI dashboards gave merchandising, marketing, and leadership live visibility into sales, inventory, and customer behaviour, while segmenting customers by purchasing pattern sharpened targeting and personalization.
AI that forecasts and recommends
BITSUMMIT built demand-forecasting models in Azure Machine Learning to predict product demand and reduce stock imbalances, and added AI-driven product recommendations on the e-commerce site to lift engagement and basket size.
Automation and adoption
Finally, forecasts were wired into the inventory systems to automate replenishment, and personalized email and SMS campaigns were generated from the new customer segments. Training and documentation left Holt Renfrew's teams able to own and extend the platform themselves.
The platform turned scattered data into decisions Holt Renfrew could act on, faster and with more confidence. Reporting that once relied on manual consolidation now runs in near real time, cutting reporting time by 50% and letting teams respond to the market as it moves.
The effect showed up across the business. AI-driven demand forecasting reduced stockouts by 20% and overstock by 15%, protecting both margin and the in-store experience. Sharper customer segmentation lifted marketing ROI by 25%, personalized recommendations grew e-commerce sales by 18%, and overall sales rose 12% within six months. Underneath it all, Holt Renfrew now runs on a single, scalable analytics platform and a more data-driven culture, ready for new data sources and use cases as the business grows.
