Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in delivering high-value client projects. This is a strategic and hands-on role that requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
You’ll oversee several client projects simultaneously acting as the central hub across engineering, design, product, and client stakeholders. Your mission will be to drive execution excellence, mitigate risks early, and ensure transparency and alignment at every level.
As a senior leader in the delivery function, you will also play a key role in evolving our Project Management Office (PMO) by implementing systems, processes, and improvements using modern technologies including AI-powered tools to enhance efficiency, consistency, and visibility across projects.
Job Description
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Own the full project lifecycle for client engagements from kickoff through delivery and closeout.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations across multiple workstreams.
- Track milestones, manage scope changes, and proactively address blockers to keep projects on track.
- Ensure alignment between client expectations, project goals, and team execution.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders and internal leadership.
- Facilitate client meetings, demos, retrospectives, and reporting sessions.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication across teams and clients, translating technical progress into business value.
Team Coordination & Collaboration
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, designers, data engineers, and cloud specialists.
- Foster a positive, accountable project culture and help resolve team challenges.
- Support team members with prioritization, workload balancing, and removing execution bottlenecks.
Risk & Quality Management
- Identify and mitigate risks early with contingency planning.
- Enforce project governance and quality standards, including retrospectives and lessons learned.
- Monitor financials and deliverables to ensure projects are completed within budget and with high quality.
PMO Innovation & Optimization
- Identify opportunities to improve project management systems, workflows, and reporting.
- Lead initiatives to implement PMO process improvements using technology, automation, or AI tools (e.g., resource forecasting, reporting dashboards, documentation automation, etc.).
- Evaluate and roll out project tools, templates, or platforms to enhance scalability and performance of the delivery team
Required Experience
Required Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years of experience managing software or technical projects in a consultancy, agency, or high-paced digital environment.
- Proven track record of delivering multiple, concurrent client projects successfully.
- Deep knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and cloud-based technologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Asana, Notion, Slack, or equivalent platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent certification.
- Experience managing budgets > $500K and teams of 3-8+ people.
- Familiarity with contract models (T&M, Fixed Bid, Retainers).
- Background in client services, consulting, or agency environments.
