Position Summary
The Project Coordinator Intern will support the planning, execution, and tracking of internal projects and managed services engagements. This is a developmental, hands-on role that offers exposure to delivery operations, project management practices, and client service coordination.
You will work alongside project managers, technical leads, and service delivery teams to help ensure project tasks are effectively tracked, documented, and communicated. The internship is designed to prepare candidates for future roles in PMO, operations, or delivery management.
Job Description
Project Coordination & Delivery Support
- Assist project managers in coordinating day-to-day project and managed service activities
- Track task assignments, milestones, risks, and project dependencies using tools like Jira, Notion, or Asana
- Maintain up-to-date project schedules, reports, and internal dashboards
- Support service delivery teams with documentation, planning, and client deliverables
Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Create and maintain project documentation such as status reports, SOPs, runbooks, and process guidelines
- Ensure all documents are accurate, version-controlled, and aligned with BITSUMMIT standards
- Organize shared project resources and internal knowledge bases for easy access and collaboration
- Contribute to improving templates and documentation workflows
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Prepare meeting agendas, presentation materials, and communication updates for internal and external stakeholders
- Capture and circulate meeting notes, decisions, and follow-up actions
- Coordinate input from team members to support status updates, client communications, and reporting
Service Awareness & Continuous Improvement
- Build familiarity with client service scopes, SLAs, and delivery models
- Observe recurring patterns, process gaps, and operational improvement opportunities
- Share insights with project leads to support service quality and business growth initiatives
- Assist with internal reporting or proposal development, as needed
Required Experience
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Business, Project Management, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with productivity tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Confluence, or Notion
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
- Eagerness to learn about IT services, consulting delivery, and project operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of project management frameworks (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
- Exposure to IT service delivery, managed services, or consulting projects (academic or professional)
- Prior experience with coordination, documentation, or customer service roles
- Interest in business operations, service quality, or continuous improvement
