Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 Purview Specialist to lead our data security and governance initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 Purview and the ability to design and implement comprehensive data protection and compliance strategies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data security and governance, with a focus on protecting sensitive information and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Job Description

Data Security Strategy: Develop and implement data security strategies using Microsoft 365 Purview to protect sensitive information across the organization.
Governance Framework: Establish and maintain a robust data governance framework to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Policy Development: Create and enforce data protection and compliance policies, including data classification, retention, and access controls.
Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.
Solution Design: Design and configure Microsoft 365 Purview solutions to monitor and secure data across cloud and on-premises environments.
Incident Response: Lead incident response efforts for data breaches and security incidents, including investigation and remediation.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT, legal, and compliance teams to align data security and governance practices with business objectives.
Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on data security best practices and compliance requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest developments in data security and governance, and continuously improve existing processes and solutions.

Required Experience

Education: Education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: 8+ years of experience in data security and governance, with a focus on Microsoft 365 Purview.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, or equivalent, are highly desirable.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 Purview, data protection tools, and governance frameworks.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for assessing risks and designing security solutions.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead security projects and initiatives from inception to completion.
